Nos Encanta Zara

We Love Zara. Yes We Do !!
It was a huge crowd last night , going through the piles was just pure havoc. We Malkos had to really go through the racks to find something. Though it was a good bargain we couldn't find anything so we walked out empty handed .. LIES !! Malko.S got 4items : 2 vests + 2 jeggings = RM100 , Malko.B got 2items : 1 long shirt + 1 holey shoulder thing-a-mob shirt = RM60

But now we are both suffering from funny tickly noses. Achoo !

Hooray Its Friday :)

No Public Holiday for the Korean

Its wonderful living in Malaysia, you have different cultures blended into one nation you have that many public holidays. When I was working in Korea , public holidays were something we look forward to we mark it in our calendars. Compared to what we have here , so many public holidays my parents used to complained there are lesser days that I actually go to school than going to school LOL. But I work in an american company and support the Korean team, so I follow Korean public holidays. BOO!! :(

When my friends call me out for brunch on PH, a part of me just dies .. haha .. yeah, thats right! Bitter laugh !! Then again you have your wonderful people around you who makes your day by delivering dessert on your table , your crush wears black he looks so hot it makes your day  , free to wear anything *cheap thrills* , no traffic , get phone calls from buggers who love to rub it in your face .. yes I am jealous you're still in bed .. -_-

Green Tea jelly & Red Bean + Soy bean <3
Wo Ai Ni Pling Plong !! haha
But you know what else made my day ? The long anticipated wait .. hold on .. building up momentum .. *drumroll* .. WE got chosen to review NATIO !! Malko.S stumbled across their website and found out that Sasa Malaysia were looking for bloggers to review for Natio :) We honestly didn't think we will get it only because we are newbies to blogging and we haven't had much posts up yet. Inside we were thinking .. damn we are going to nail this !! What is there not to like about us ? DON'T ANSWER THAT lol The review will be up v.soon !

Before I go , I have to introduce you to this one. I bought this body butter a few months back and I'm already on my 2nd tub. Its Natio's coconut and shea body butter, Its very moisturizing and not sticky, the scent will immediately take you to a tropical beach vacation. Definitely worth my money. My victoria secret and bath and body works have been set aside for a few months because of this :) I think its a very good steal if you like Laura Mercier's Body cremes. I <3 their Vanilla Souffle.

F = Feed us , we won't bite ..

Trailing each other in our cars are super duper fun. Every red light means we get to make silly gestures like pretend to floss or pick our noses or sometimes honk! at each other. Yes , we are easily entertained. So it was just another Sunday afternoon, was supposed to meet my mum at central market but instead ended up near mid valley .. not everyone is perfect .. so I self invited myself to Pial's house to meet her beautiful baby Athier. Malko.S was already there entertaining herself with Adam's toys. lol I have seen pictures of Adam and he is so adorable you can't help but smile :) Well I got to see the little brother Athier in real life and I tell you ..  these brothers are going to break little girls' hearts from kindergarten !
Athier and 'Bluesteel'
Athier had our FULL attention :)
After our visit to Pial's , we decided to head out to fill our hungry stomach. Hunger is something we both can't stand, Hungry is when you don't want to bump into us. So we drove to Bangsar and headed to a newbie in town called 'F' by buffalo kitchens.

Open Kitchen

The interior was simple and chiq , I loved the open kitchen !! I don't think I've seen many around in KL. Well to watch the process of your meal getting ready and double whoot if the chef is hot : D

Hello Chef *wink wink*

Iced Honey Lemon Tea + Bread and Olive Oil&Balsamic
'Crab 2 ways' for starters
One was curry flavoured Yumz !
Malko S had 'Sesame Steak' - Not enough Kick :(
Malko B had 'Wagyu Cheek' - Melts in your mouth almost literally
Peek-a-boo CousCous

We both really enjoyed "F" but we felt like the food kind of left us wanting a little more.
The starter 'Crab 2 ways' was really yummy except for the fishy smell the soft shell crab had, it was like a mouthful of ocean, too fishy .. I prefer my meat a little more chewy but then again it was 'Wagyu cheek' so I have to say if you like melt in your mouth beef this is definitely a recommendation :) I like my food a little bland so the sauce was a hit ! yay ! On the other hand, Malko.S felt like her 'Sesame Steak' didn't have the Kick. The sauce was nothing out of the ordinary and we were starting to wonder why it was called 'sesame steak' .. maybe they fed the cows sesame or something LOL.

We would love to go back and try more :)

Get to 'F' by buffalo kitchens : 69-1 Jalan Telawi 3 Bangsar Baru Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, 59100

a hairy affair

I started going to a hair salon proper (aside from the usual haircuts here and there) when I was 16. To tame the crazy, frizzy, poofy, thick hair. To sport a new look just before entering college for A Levels. To do what all the Korean girls were doing (too many Korean girls in school then, lol!) - hair rebonding.

It must have been upon Malko B.'s suggestion, because I ended up in a Korean hair salon in Ampang. The first time I did it, the process took about 7 hours (!!!) because, according to the hairdresser who spoke broken English, my hair texture is thick/stubborn/difficult to work with. Hmph. It wasn't my hair's fault, ok. Really him as a hairdresser! So from wavy and frizzy, I became poker straight. It stayed poker straight for the next few years until I discovered the delights of relaxing - a much better alternative, which gives more natural results, nice volume and the flexibility to style/play around with the hair. But I never really found a hairdresser who understood my hair over the next 10 years and never really left a salon fully satisfied, be it in Ampang, KLCC, Mont Kiara, Bangsar, Solaris, Jakarta, Nottingham or London, until......this past weekend.

Jep Soo, senior stylist of A Cut Above in Pavilion with 30 years experience under his belt. A true gem and now, probably my one and only favourite hairstylist. Stumbled upon him by chance when the girls and I wanted to check out what the Brazilian Keratin Treatment was all about. Too expensive (RM900 for "extra" long hair like mine!), we enquired about their other services. After a bit of bla bla bla, we were taken to a private room (nice!), where Rikachu* (Not her real name, by the way. Hehe) decided to chop off her long mane to get a sexy bob upon Jep Soo's recommendation and I decided to give my hair a relaxing fixer-upper and a trim.

He set us back at RM400 (relaxing touch up and trim for me, with soft-curl finish) and RM375 (for haircut and colouring for Rikachu) respectively. A little pricey, but well worth the money. Not only did he understand our hair, he knew what he was doing and what not to do with our hair. I have had bad experiences whereby the hairdressers went a little overboard with thinning my hair (they're always complaining that I have too much hair on my head -_-), gave me too much layers, cut my hair a little too short - thus, resulting in poofy hair on top and thin ends at the bottom. Not very flattering. With Jep Soo, he advised me that considering my hair type, I am best suited with long hair (2 inches below shoulder length at the shortest), light layering, no thinning, mid length fringe. Good advice, but that means no sexy Rihanna-inspired bob for me. Ever. :( So yes, I'm gonna look boring for the rest of my life! Because boring is my best look :,(

What I liked about the relaxing method in A Cut Above was that they skipped the hair ironing process.  It was just combing the relaxant cream through the hair, cling wrap, steam, wash, neutralising cream, cling wrap, wash, blow dry. No need to have the hair ironed to seal in the chemicals! Saves my hair from further damage. Phewh.

As for Rikachu, she got what was called an angel bob and hair colour which had a tinge of purple. Very nice! I highly recommend Jep Soo and will most definitely be going back to him again! For hair colouring when my bank account fills up again perhaps.

Standing on an eyelash doing the Hula ..

"We need new friends to go PARTAY"

But then again pictionary and taboo is so fun you forget you wanted to dance.
No we're not getting old we just like to draw and ramble silly words to decribe things sometimes :)

Anyway Congratulations to us !! Malaysians have the highest stats in Facebook !! (Seriously ..)

I have to admit Facebook can be very addictive and OMG you find everyone you ever bumped into, but the highest stats in the world that means we aren't socializing much in the real world. Alright I'm not trying to start a heating debate on the pros and cons of Facebook , and trust me .. you don't want to argue with me haha : D

Here I introduce you to the annoying people you find on FB :

Not to mention friends who send you invites to join them at their farm , I really have no interest in looking for a talking turtle or a gold digger cow !! Well you probably have at least ONE friend from the list but then again it's all for laughs don't take it too personal ;) haha

Before I go I need advice, Bang or No Bang ? Those of your running indecent thoughts in your head .. please !! Help a Korean in distress Sharing is Caring so Share your wisdom : D

tick...tock...tick...tock...

Wow. It's been awfully quiet here, hasn't it? Apologies to our new readers who kept coming back for updates. Malko B. and I have been a little caught up with our daily routine. Having an iPad is not really making sure I blog more often either! It's really due to the fact that Apple restricts the download of Adobe Flash Player on the iPad/iPod. Did you know that? I didn't. It makes blogging very boring for me when I can't use picnik.com to tweak my photos (which requires Flash). Boo Apple, boo!

Just before I end this post to work on my other post, a little heads up to those who regularly hang out in the joints along Jalan Damai - be it Castle, Al-Rawsha, Hajime, Basil Leaf, Cafennies (I can never get the spelling right for this one) - they have all CEASED BUSINESS. This includes Vila Manja Spa and presumably Rahsia and Tatto too. Guess they shouldn't have set up shop in a residential area in the first place. The shisha joints were a constant nuisance to us. Indiscriminate parking, congestion, excessive noise (especially during football season) and their evil plan in trying to make me fat by making me hungry in my sleep (I was subjected to the smell of kebabs, shawarmas and mixed grill platter every night!). Thank goodness they're gone, though I'm a little bummed to see Hajime and Basil Leaf go.

This peace and quiet will get a little bit of getting used to now :)

Oh hello, want some buns?

Found this tutorial whilst exploring one of our favourite blogs.

I've been wanting to try out this hairstyle for awhile, but had to put it on hold till I got myself a good hair tie, a bottle of hairspray and some bobby pins. In the end, I got myself some Gliders hair tie (got this in Singapore upon recommendation from Malko B. Best hair tie ever! No more losing hair from the snagging and excellent hold for heavy, long, thick hair like mine), Lucido hair spray (I didn't want my hair looking too stiff, this seemed like quite a good bet on the Guardian shelf) and a pack of bobby pins from Sinma.

The end result that I got was this:

It was fairly easy to do and I must say my first attempt turned out quite well. Just be sure to comb your hair in place whilst doing the high ponytail and fix it securely with bobby pins. Finish off with hairspray. Lots of it.

I got mixed reactions from the family and friends when I showed them my new hairstyle. Mum liked it. Lil Bro 1 said it looked like I had some sort of shell on my head. Lil Bro 2 asked if it was a fake bun (due to the colour contrast between my original hair colour and the coloured bottom half). A friend asked whether I got my hair done at the salon for a photo shoot (Lol!). Worst comment came from the Dad who said "looks like you have tahi lembu (cow dung) on your head lah". What the??! -_-

All that work in trying to put my hair up and keeping it in check the whole day made my tummy whimper for food. Almost ate Lil Poopy the rabbit on our first encounter as a result. Now, that would have been yum, wouldn't it?! Rabbit in a bun? Teehee.

Animal lovers, I kid. I don't eat cute creatures :)

Happy Bunny New Year

Seriously .. 4 days late? Better than Nothing I suppose ! haha

2011 came with a BANG! In our car stuck in traffic at Jln P.Ramlee .. Going to work and driving back to KL from Subang was just pure madness for me. By the end of the night .. more like early in the morning I literally passed out in the car and my driver had to wake me up when she sent me home. Thanks to Jagi heehee :)

I come up with New Year Resolutions 'List' is an understatement, more like a book, and whilst coming up with it I give it so much thought and sincerity my parents haven't seen me like that since .. I don't even remember. So here it is :

2011 I will ,

OMG get my butt to the gym and stop paying their rent
Shop less , I need therapy *faint*
Read more books (2010 has been real slow)
Get up early on Sunday to take my dad out on our breakfast dates
Tone down on road rage lol
Stop crushing like a high school girl and go get it
Keep our blog updated at all times

There are so much more I would love to accomplish this 2011, but details will bore the lights out of you. Keeping it simple for the readership. haha

Happy New Year Lovelies !!
